"Trout and trout fishing got into my soul at an early age. I spent many hours on “the water” in the Allegheny Mt watersheds of Pennsylvania. Moving to Colorado in the middle ‘70s, climbing, skiing, alpine mountaineering, and flyfishing took up most of my free time. My avocation soon became my vocation. I was fortunate to have worked for a couple premier outdoor companies until I retired in April 2018. Currently, I am a trip lead/advisor for Project Healing Waters/Fly Fishing-Denver, and an Orvis endorsed Guide for Sunrise Anglers, Littleton, CO."

Scott holds a Political Science, BA from Edinboro University, Certified Metals Fabrication/Tool Maker, Board Certified Pedorthist, is a US Air Force veteran, and is also an accomplished photographer. Scott's work has appeared in Outside magazine, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Field & Stream (Japan), and numerous Sporting trade publications.
