Dana Andersson

Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and Natural Science Education. Certificate in K-8 

Growing up in Billings, MT, Dana learned to love the outdoors from an early age. Her commitment to environmental stewardship can be traced to her Montana roots and working at the Wyoming Nature Conservancy and the National Outdoor Leadership School. Dana developed a passion for teaching through her experience as a field educator in both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. To further her career in natural science education, Dana attend a Graduate Program in Place-Based Education. She finished her Masters at the University of Montana and then joined the 4th grade faculty at a public school in Missoula, MT. Dana recently moved home to Billings, MT to pursue her life-long goal of becoming a mother. She and her husband have a beautiful daughter and two crazy bird-dogs that keep them on their toes. Dana currently works as the program coordinator at Wise Wonders Science and Discovery Center. At her core, Dana believes that when we embed learning in authentic experiences we can increase learner engagement, improve learner outcomes, and create positive impact in community.
