Restored in 2021

Restored in 2023

The Bighorn River Alliance restored 5 Bighorn Side Channels between the Three Mile Access site and the St. Xavier Bridge. Restoration of these channels added 2.35 miles of complex habitat back to the River and its Wild Trout, bringing the total number of side channels restored by BHRA since 2021, to seven! This work is made possible through funding received through the MFWP Future Fisheries Improvement Program, the USFWS Great Plains Fish Habitat Program and the BHRA Membership.
