L.C. Randy Randolph

Board Member

Randy’s passion for the Bighorn River started more than 20 years ago on annual spring Baetis and midge trips with friends. That passion has only grown stronger with every subsequent visit. He was born and raised in a family of fishermen and hunters. He began fishing with his father and grandfathers as soon as he could hold a rod. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he started work in the natural gas industry in Salt Lake City with clients across the Rocky Mountains, Pacific Northwest, and Canada. During those years, he began his transition to fly fishing.

Randy is a member of the Big Horn Sportsman’s Club, which has a lodge on the river and serves on its Board of Directors. He spends over 30 days per year on the river and has been inspired by the beauty of the Bighorn and its valley. He has admired the work of the BHRA and has volunteered his time and financial support for various BHRA projects, including the Tribal Outreach youth day on the Bighorn. As a Board member, he looks forward to increasing his role as a steward of this world-class fishery that deserves our full support. Randy currently lives in Edwards, Colorado, with his wife of over 50 years, Alice Randolph. They have two daughters, the oldest of which has three daughters who have all spent time on the Bighorn. Randy is retired and spends his free time fishing, cycling, hiking, and golfing.
